F.2. Monthly / Seasonal Passes Rates

These rates are under Provision S 18 & S 19 Road Transportation Act 1987 Road and Traffic Order ( Kota Tinggi District Council).

1. Monthly Pass Rate : Charges must not exceed RM75 per month.
2. Seasonal Parking Lot: Charges must not exceed RM100 per month.

Reminder – Parking will charged between 8 am to 6 pm daily except Sundays and Public Holidays.

F.3 Charges for Failure To Provide Parking Lots

Any developments including high density housing, businesses or others for commercial purposes which fail to provide Car Park Facilities as required by Kota Tinggi Town Local Plan must be charged due to reasons of failure to provide car parking lots to be paid to the Kota Tinggi District Council with charges of (Three Thousand Ringgit) for each Car Parking Lot failed to be provided within Kota Tinggi Town area and a charge of (One Thousand Ringgit) for other areas under the Administration of Kota Tinggi District Council.

Parking Offenses List

(1) Not displaying coupons issued by the Council or the Handling Company when parking of motor vehicles in the coupon based car parking lot.

(2) Displaying expired car parking coupons.

(3) Displaying the car parking coupons in such a way that the coupons cannot be seen or identified by the Administrative Assistant (Car Parking) upon inspection.

(4) Displaying car park coupon without the correct marking.

(5) Parking of motor vehicles outside of the car parking lot in the parking area.

(6) Blocking of car parking lots.

(7) Motor Vehicles which are parked against the correct traffic direction.

(8) Conduct business in a car parking area.

(9) Motor vehicles which are parked blocking fire hydrants.

(10) Parking motor vehicles on five-foot ways and pedestrian pavements.

(11) Parking motor vehicles in seasoned car parks without valid seasoned passes.

(12) Parking motor vehicles in a areas other than which is designated for that particular type of vehicle.

(13) Displaying invalid parking coupons when parking.

(14) Other offences which are stated.

How to Make Payment / Appeal on Compounds
 

Come Personally

(1) The Offender should come personally to the office and refer to the officer from the Car Parking Department during office hours.

(2) State why a reduction should be given.

By Post

(1) Write on the back of the compound notice your Name, Address and other particulars fully and clearly.

(2) Attach a postal order, a money order, a bank order, a bank draft or cheque addressed to the ‘Yang Dipertua, Majlis Daerah Kota Tinggi’.

(3) Attach the compound together with your payment and address it to the Yang Dipertua, Majlis Daerah Kota Tinggi, Jalan Padang, 81900 Kota Tinggi, Johor.

(4) A receipt and will be made for each payment and sent to the address provided.

(5) The Council will not be responsible if the receipt cannot to be sent through the given address.

Displaying of Vehicle Coupon Procedure

Coupon System Car Park Operation Area
Car parking coupon must be displayed for motor vehicles parked in the coupon-based car parking area that is stated in the First Schedule.

Conditions Of Using The Car Parking Coupon

• Any individual using the car parking coupon issued by the Council or any individual which is given the authority by the Council to park motor vehicles must adhere to the conditions and allocations as stated in the car parking coupon.
• Anyone who fails to adhere to the rules and conditions stated under sub-paragraph 1 is committing an offence.

Locations Where Car Parking Coupon Are Required
A motor vehicle driver or owner using the car parking coupon to park his/her motor vehicle in any car park lot, except seasonal car parking lots or controlled car parking lots according to the time period which is allowed as stated on the car parking coupon itself.

Methods of Displaying Car Parking Coupon

• The motor vehicle driver or owner using the car parking coupon to park his/her motor vehicle must display the car parking coupon on the top right corner of the vehicle’s dashboard facing the front windscreen and must ensure that the Assistant Enforcer’s (Car Parking Lot) view is not obstructed during inspection of the car parking coupon at all times when the motor vehicle is parked in the particular coupon-based car parking lot.
• Car Parking Coupons which have been amended, modified, damaged, folded or written-on will be considered invalid for usage.

Time Calculation of Car Parking Lot
When two or more coupons are displayed on a particular vehicle to cover the time period of the motor vehicle which is parked in the coupon-based car parking lot, the ‘start-time’ displayed in the second coupon or the following coupon must be instantly continued from the 'end-time' displayed on the previous or first coupon.

Coupon Starting Time
Not even anyone is able to display or cause or allow for the display of a parking coupon towards a particular motor vehicle in a starting time of which is later than the actual intended time of the motor vehicle to be parked in the coupon-based car parking lot.

Continuous Offences for Parking of Motor Vehicle After The Period of Coupon Expiration
Any individual who continuously park his/her motor vehicle in the coupon-based car parking lot even after the car parking coupon which is displayed for that vehicle has expired, is considered to have committed an offence.
